Early Life and Transition to Art
Clay’s journey to becoming an artist was not straightforward. After meeting and marrying Milly, he moved to the UK and initially worked as a civil engineer. Despite his professional success, Clay found himself feeling unfulfilled and depressed. This dissatisfaction with his career led him to pursue his true passion for art.
Artistic Career
Clay’s artistic career began humbly, selling his work off the railings of Hyde Park. His talent and determination quickly propelled him to greater heights, leading to exhibitions at international art fairs and prestigious London galleries. His work garnered attention for its bold, expressive style and unique perspective.
In Stroud, Clay opened his own gallery, which became a hub for artistic innovation and community engagement. This period marked a significant phase in his career, where he not only showcased his work but also started a revolution in the local art scene. However, in 2020, he decided to close the gallery to focus more intensively on his artistic practice. During this time, he also explored other creative outlets, including making a music video.
Recent Work
