Provenance: A gift from the artist to Gerald Cramer. Gerald was an important Art Dealer, based in Geneva, who published prints by the major artists of the day. His son, Patrick, wrote the Catalogue Raisonne of the prints of Henry Moore.

1) Gerald Cramer, Art Dealer, Geneva (To who the work is dedicated by the artist)

2) Patrick Cramer, Geneva, who received the piece, by inheritance, from his late father.

3) Fairhead Fine Art Limited - Purchased directly from the above.

Exhibition History: London: Simms Reed Gallery, Henry Moore & Gerald Cramer, 25 years of Art & Friendship, November - December 2014

Literature: A Garrould (ed) Henry Moore Complete Drawings, 1950 - 76, Volume 4, Aldershot, 2003, p.165, AG 62.9, HMF 3076, Illustrated

Exhibition Catalogue, Henry Moore & Gerald Cramer, 25 years of Art and Friendship, London, Sims Reed Gallery, 2014, illustrated p.25 and on the front cover. This work is sold with the drawing. Our drawing is on the front cover and described and illustrated on pages 24 & 25. Our drawing illustrated the theme of this exhibition and was something of a “star of the show”. The text within the book deals at length with the relationships of Moore (a rather difficult man) with his publishers. There are several photographs of the artist alongside Gerald Cramer.

Condition: In good condition.
